There
are three member clubs of the Bridge
League of Finland in town: Turun Bridgekerho (TBK), Åbo Bridgeklubb (ÅBK) and H6.
Location
The
club (TBK) usually meets at Kansallinen
palvelutalo, street address Ruohonpääntie 27.
Another gathering place for bridge players is the restaurant Gardenia,
street address Eerikinkatu 17.
Schedule
During
the summer (June - August) we play at Kansallinen palvelutalo
only. There is a matchpoint (pairs) competition every Tuesday.
Every Thursday an event with other form of scoring is held. During the
winter (September - May) we only play at Kansallinen palvelutalo
on Thursdays. By default there will be a pairs competition.
The agreed upon change to this is that on the first club night
of each month there will be an IMP-cross event. From September
to May ÅBK hosts a pairs game every Tuesday at the restaurant Gardenia. All club events start at 6.00 p.m.
Entrance fees, prize money
There
is an entrance fee of 5 euros per player at all the above mentioned
events. Some of the entrance fees become prize money for that
particular competition at the events organized by TBK, but
the bulk will go to the prizes awarded in a season long competition.
Please observe that at ÅBK the only prizes are awarded
in a season long competition based on the participants accumulated
attendance and victory points.
